In April 2018, Cogeco adopted a new customer management system to consolidate several IT systems, which completely jammed their customer service center during several months.
This transition also triggered billing errors and service problems, causing prejudice to tens of thousands of people in Quebec and in Ontario.
On January 14th, 2019, our firm filed an application to be authorized to bring a class action against Cogeco.
This application seeks to obtain a compensation for our clients, as well as for all persons who had billing problems in regards to Cogeco’s Internet, television and/or residential phone services since April 1st, 2018, as well as all persons who were deprived of one or some of these services at some point since April 1st, 2018.
