On February 25th, 2019, our firm filed an application to be authorized to bring a class action against Festival Metro Metro. This application seeks to obtain a partial reimbursement for all consumers who suffered damages due to hidden service and delivery fees as well as unilateral modifications of the ticket price.
All consumers in Québec who bought a ticket for the Festival Metro Metro set to happen on May 18th and 19th 2019 and who:
- paid an additional amount for service and delivery fees;
- who paid a price superior to the initial announced price of 170$.
Chronology of Events
February 17th, 2019 : Announcement of the lineup for the Festival Metro Metro
February 20th, 2019 : Announcement of the price of the Weekend Pass at 170$, taxes included, plus service fees
February 21st, 2019 : Announcement of the price of the Weekend Pass at 170$, valid only for 2 days
February 21st, 2019, at noon : Start of sales
February 22nd, 2019 : First price increase of the Weekend Pass to 185$ + taxes
February 22nd, 2019 : Second price increase of the Weekend Pass to 190$ + taxes
February 25th, 2019 :
Third price increase of the Weekend Pass to… (did not happen) Announcement of the daily passes which will go on sale on March 2nd, at noon
